Symphonie für den frieden

«Music inspires, connects and liberates, - so does peace!»

Since spring 2025, several Swiss musicians have been preparing a major project together:

Symphonie für den Frieden - Festival 2026

The festival brings together musicians from Switzerland and internationally to stand together with music for peace. Their motto is:

"Symphonic = working together harmoniously!"

Around the international World Peace Day* on September 21, 2026, several concerts are planned, in Geneva, the humanitarian city of human rights, and Lausanne.

Five symphonic concerts (world premieres)

In 5 classical concerts, the young Swiss orchestra Bis Repetitia and their conductor gather around young, talented soloists from all over Switzerland.

Conductor Romain Gili enthusiastically greeted the new symphony with a bravo!

The young musicians participate meaningfully and progressively in the world premieres of the AURORA Symphony* in the following concerts.

2 Symphonic Concerts: Les Salons, Geneva (19. / 20. Sept. 2026)

1 Symphonic Concert: Geneva (21. Sept. 2026)

2 Symphonic Concerts: Casino in Lausanne (26. / 27. Sept. 2026)

The Symphony for Peace* "AURORA" by Michel Rembold is a new, large-scale, orchestral work, harmoniously-melodically composed (2025). The work has a romantic, dramatic character. With much expressiveness, the tension of the given theme is profoundly portrayed. The expressive solo parts for piano and soprano (peace hymn) give the symphony a special note in contemporary brilliance. Beautiful, memorable melodies enchantingly transport you to a world of its own. With contemporary urgency and reminiscence, the work draws upon the most important compositional genre for orchestra.

Look forward to a magnificent festival with grandiose concerts!

* World Peace Day, also called International Day of Peace, is celebrated on September 21, 2026. It is an action day proclaimed by the United Nations that takes place every year on the same day to advocate for peace and non-violence.

Additional events will further expand the festival on the same days.

- Several recital concerts, changing hourly

- Inputs on the theme "Finding peace" (speakers for peace)

- Public rehearsals with the young soloists in the presence of the composer
